This is going to be an expensive pregnancy if this keeps up.

Sarah sent me to the store to fulfil the first craving of this pregnancy. She asked me to get a filet, but at $23/lb. I opted for the more reasonable ribeye at $12/lb. Looks like if you want to send pregnancy gifts, you now know where to go. I feel like it’s early for cravings, but until I read one of those pregnancy books, I think she can make a sucker of me all she wants.

One good thing that came out of it, though (well 2, if you include the steak itself), is that I got to try this recipe. I had tried to get our friend Campbell to use it, but he’s a grill guy and this is a pan recipe. It turned out pretty good. I cooked them a little too long–I forgot that they keep cooking after you remove them from the heat.

So, I guess, as far as a craving adventure goes, this one wasn’t so bad: 6:30 PM, steak, good recipe, happy wifety…

Yeah. Not bad.
