Today’s Name: It

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

Yeah, that’s right: It.
I figured we’d find out the gender today, thus saving me from having to go head-to-head with Sarah over two gender’s worth of names. But, nooooo, “I’m comfortable like this and I ain’t movin’ my legs for the likes of you!”
So you know what? I’m not playing.

The Baby Formerly Known as ‘It’

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

…is actually still the baby known as ‘it’.
We went in for the ultrasound today, and everything looks as it should. Well, everything we could see looks as it should. Unfortunately, the baby’s feet and umbilical cord were blocking an important part of our view. An important part which means we’re going [...]

It’s ALIVE…

Monday, October 16th, 2006

Happy birthday to me!

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

Just had my THIRTIETH birthday last week. It was a great day–spent the morning at “work” in the newborn nursery, then came home to open some presents. Rahul got me some beautiful flowers and arranged a yummy sushi picnic in the park (no raw fish, of course), then I got my hair cut and that [...]

Now Playing: Week Eighteen

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

This week, baby begins to hear! So now I am really tempted to sneak up on my belly with cymbals or something, just to see what happens.
Week Eighteen:
As the nerve endings from your baby’s brain “hook up” to the ears, your baby may hear your heart beating, your stomach rumbling or blood moving through the [...]

She is great.

Now Playing: Week Seventeen

Wednesday, October 4th, 2006

This is all Mayo Clinic has to say about week seventeen: fat accumulates.
Seriously. Guess I better go make a pie.
