The Baby Name Face-off BEGINS!

January 31st, 2007 by Sarah and Rahul

Alright, friends and family, the Baby Name Face-off has begun!

We have each picked 16 girl names and pitted them against each other. It is up to you, our adoring readers, to help us decide which name could belong to our baby. The lists are made up mostly of names we like, but there are a few on there we’re so-so on. Surprisingly, there were only 2 names which made it onto both of our lists, Jasmine and Penelope, so you will notice that they are in the tournament twice!

The baby names have arbitrarily been broken up into 4 divisions: “They Call Me Baby Driver”, “Baby, What’s Your Name?”, “They Call me Sweetness”, “Who’s that Girl?”. Each pairing consists of a name from each of our lists.

Every Wednesday night for the next 5 weeks, we’ll tally the winners, and set up the next round of the tournament!

The voting system we’re using allows you to vote more than one time, but we ask that you limit it to one vote per person, please. If you want to come back to the page to see who’s winning, click on the link that says “show results” instead of voting again… We’ll know if you don’t. We’re keeping track.

Also, please use the comments area for discussing the finer points of each name.
